ROBERTSON FIELD – Smiling up at the half-filled bleachers, pitcher Kellan Grund ’16 reportedly filled with joy to be playing the final baseball game of his Allegheny career in front of tens of fans. “I guess the last game of the season really draws a crowd, this is the biggest one yet. There’s at least one or two dozen people up there,” said Grund, ecstatic to be throwing his very last pitches in the presence of a roaring crowd consisting of tens upon tens of people. “At least four of my friends showed up too! I’m glad so many people came to see the seniors off. Wow, what a way to go out.” Sources later confirmed that the Gators lost the match, disappointing the single fan who actually cared.
